Three million years of volcanic ash and wind have carved central Anatolia into an open-air gallery: fairy-chimney cones, pigeon-house cliffs, and tuff-stone valleys in every shade of pink, ochre and rose. Beneath it all, early Christians carved entire cities underground — some still walkable today — and cliff-face monasteries with frescoed chapels. The best way to take it in is still from a wicker basket floating at sunrise. Day 1 — Arrival · sunset at Red Valley: Flight Istanbul → Kayseri/Nevşehir, transfer to a cave hotel in Göreme or Uçhisar. Day 2 — Balloon sunrise · Göreme · Avanos: Pre-dawn pickup for your hot-air balloon. After breakfast: Göreme Open-Air Museum, then a pottery workshop in Avanos with lunch by the Red River.اليوم 2 — منطاد الفجر · غوريم · أفانوس: توصيلةٌ قبل الفجر لرحلةِ المنطاد. بعد الإفطار: متحفُ غوريم المفتوح، ثم ورشةُ فخارٍ في أفانوس مع غداءٍ على ضفافِ النهرِ الأحمر.
Day 3 — Underground city · Ihlara Valley: Deep-dive into Derinkuyu or Kaymaklı underground city. Drive to Ihlara Valley — scenic hike past Byzantine chapels, lunch stream-side, Selime Monastery on the way back.اليوم 3 — المدينةُ السفلى · وادي إخلارا: غوصٌ في درينكويو أو كايماكلي تحت الأرض. انتقالٌ إلى وادي إخلارا — مشيٌ خلّابٌ بجانبِ الكنائسِ البيزنطية، وغداءٌ بجانب الجدول، مع زيارةِ ديرِ سليمي في العودة.
Day 4 — Valleys · Uçhisar sunset: ATV or horse tour through Love, Rose and Sword Valleys. Afternoon tea at a fairy-chimney café, sunset from Uçhisar Castle, and a cave-spa hammam before dinner.اليوم 4 — الوديان · غروبُ أوتشيصار: جولةُ ATV أو خيلٍ في وديانِ الحبّ والوردِ والسيف. شاي بعد الظهر في مقهى مئذنةِ الجنّ، وغروبٌ من قلعةِ أوتشيصار، وحمّامٌ في سبا كهفيّ قبل العشاء.
Day 5 — Souvenirs · departure: Last morning in Göreme for Turkish breakfast and souvenir shopping (carpets, ceramics, evil-eye charms).
